Oh, my heart.
And my favorite, favorite artist.
His face is perfect. And I love the fact that his eyes are open — so that he’s staring his potential fate directly down, not closing his eyes and cowering in fear.
This keeps coming up on my dash and it is gorgeous, this artist is fantastic, but oh my god this is tearing my heart in two. I just. Tranquility is horrifying, but most of the Tranquil characters we meet, we didn’t know them before. We don’t know their smiles and jokes and fears and hopes and mistakes. So to see any of the mage characters— especially the ones in DA2 who we’ve known for so long— made Tranquil just kills me.
I choose to believe that seconds later Hawke storms in and fulfills that fantasy of Anders’s because otherwise I am going to cry at my desk and that is not a good way to start the day.

Yeah. I’ll go right ahead and believe this whole thing is Anders’ fantasy, because even going through this crap right up until being tranquilized (even if Hawke does storm in before it’s too late) is a bit much.
But more importantly, holy crap, this is some gorgeous art! It appeared on my dash a million times, but I thought it was Alistair for some reason (and I thought the branding iron was that rose of his, lol) and never zoomed in to get a better look.
