Well, I’m okay.jpg-ing over it because I personally wanted to romance Ash so badly. But I don’t think it’s exactly unfair. FemShep’s had Liara since ME1 and there were also Kelly and Samara (and Shaira). Sheploo’s had absolutely nothing. If Sam is the counterpart for Cortez, Liara can more than be a countepart for Kaidan.
The thing that grinds my gears is that I have a sneaking suspicion Ash isn’t a bi option just because they wanted to calm down the dudebros and such who’d bitch about BioWare “switching” characters’ sexualities to “pander to the gay and PC crowd”. You know, to soften the blow by making just one of them bi. And I fucking hate it when my options get cut out to please the dudebro bigots. Ugh.
